Georgia Peach: Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you create?

Kayla: Hi everyone, my name is Kayla, and I am a Creative Director with a strong passion for innovation, design, and storytelling. I am the founder of Kayla6Creative, a brand dedicated to bringing bold ideas to life through creative direction, visual identity, and strategic artistry. My work focuses on developing concepts that not only capture attention but also create meaningful connections between brands and their audiences.

As a Creative Director, I oversee the entire creative process—from ideation to execution—ensuring that every project reflects a strong vision, aesthetic consistency, and impactful results. With Kayla6Creative, my goal is to inspire, innovate, and push boundaries by blending creativity.

Georgia Peach: What first inspired you to pursue a creative path?

Kayla: What first inspired me to pursue a creative path was watching people like Teyana Taylor and Tyler Perry. The way they both move—their drive, vision, and ability to create something out of nothing—really lit a fire in me. They showed me that creativity isn’t just about talent, it’s about discipline, resilience, and knowing how to keep pushing even when things get tough.

Kayla: At just 21 years old, I carry one of the hardest jobs in the world: trying to balance responsibility, ambition, and passion all at once. It’s not easy, but seeing how they built their legacies reminds me that I can do the same. Their journeys inspire me to step out of my comfort zone, push past doubt, and give myself permission to be bold, original, and unapologetic in chasing my dreams.

Georgia Peach: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a creative, and how did you overcome it?

Kayla: The biggest challenge I’ve faced as a creative has been learning how to balance my ideas without overcrowding the vision. In the beginning, I used to want to add too many props into a single photo because I thought it would make the picture more interesting. Over time, I realized that less is sometimes more, and it’s about using the space that’s already there in a creative way.

Working with the space taught me how to focus on the subject and create impact without distractions. Another challenge has been avoiding repetitive poses. It’s easy to fall back into the same movements because they feel comfortable, but I had to push myself to step out of that comfort zone and try something new each time. This meant practicing different poses, studying inspiration, and learning how to express a wider range of emotions and energy through my body. By challenging myself in these areas, I grew not only more confident but also more versatile in my creative work.

Georgia Peach: Who or what influences your work the most?

Kayla: My parents influence my work the most. They’ve always taught me that in order to truly find your path, you have to step out into the world and experience it for yourself. They remind me that growth doesn’t come from staying comfortable—it comes from exploring, taking risks, and learning through both successes and failures. Their encouragement to seek out my own journey has shaped the way I approach opportunities and challenges. Because of them, I’m not afraid to push myself, try new things, and discover where my passions can take me.

Georgia Peach: What advice would you give to someone just starting their creative journey?

Kayla: My advice is simple: go do it. Take that first step, no matter how small, because the hardest part of any creative journey is often just beginning. There are going to be days when you feel scared, uncertain, or even doubt yourself—and that’s okay. In fact, that’s the best part. Fear and nervousness are signs that you’re stepping outside your comfort zone, that you’re pushing yourself toward something bigger than you imagined.

When those feelings come, don’t run from them—embrace them. They mean growth is happening. Always remember, you have to start somewhere in order to discover your light. Your light is your unique voice, your vision, your creative spark that no one else in the world can duplicate. When you find it, don’t take it for granted—study it, nurture it, and truly understand what you are capable of. Creativity isn’t just about producing art or ideas; it’s about discovering yourself, your resilience, and your potential.

Your journey won’t always be easy. There will be setbacks, moments of doubt, and times when you wonder if it’s worth it. But those are the moments that shape you, that strengthen you, and that remind you why you started in the first place. Keep going, even when it feels hard. Trust that every step, every mistake, and every breakthrough is a piece of the bigger picture. The truth is, your creativity is already within you—it’s waiting for you to give it space, time, and courage to shine. So start now. Take the risk, chase the dream, and let your light guide you into becoming everything you were meant to be.
