How did you first get into photography, and what drew you to it?
I've loved photography for as long as I can remember. It's been a hobby of mine since high school and has only grown with each passing year. I loved the idea of getting to freeze moments in time and revisit them. It was my way of capturing memories to share with friends and family. After my son was born, I opened up my photography business and have loved getting to meet others through photography.
What type of photography do you specialize in, and why does it speak to you?
I specialize in families and couples photography. As a mom myself, I love getting to document families as they're growing and changing. I also love telling couples' stories-- whether they've just started dating or if they're celebrating a longtime anniversary. I love getting to be a small part of capturing my client's memories. It's been such an amazing way of meeting people.
How do you choose locations, lighting, or themes for your shoots?
I love working with my client's vision and bringing it to life. I do both studio and outdoor shoots. I love being able to provide suggestions to clients based on an initial idea they have. There are so many ways to think outside the box. I love that no two sessions are the same and there's always something new and exciting to try.

What’s the most challenging shoot you’ve ever done, and what did you learn from it?
No one shoot stands out-- but often times events are the most challenging for me. For me, it can be tricky if an event is all day and involves capturing large groups of attendees. I want to make sure my event coverage is thorough and gets all great event highlights. Over time, I've learned to prepare as much as possible. That can include preparing multiple lighting options, hydrating ahead of time, and making sure to streamline editing. I love events, but I've also learned to prep for them over time.
What’s one lesson you’ve learned from working with clients that shaped how you approach shoots today?
I've learned to be adaptable to my client's needs. I often photograph families and children. I'm happy to customize the session to the needs of the family -- whether they have a special set up in mind or if they need more time prepping. I try to be accessible and helpful to clients so they feel comfortable once it's session time!

Where do you see your photography taking you in the next few years?
I hope to continue supporting my families through their big milestones! I'd love to try new sets each year and meet new families in Gwinnett and other Georgia counties. I also have a special place in my heart for returning families and seeing their little ones grow.
How can people connect with you or book a session?
They can book with me any number of ways. They can submit an inquiry on my website, reach out on any of my social media accounts, or send an email. I try to make the process as easy as possible. All they need to do is reach out and I'll walk them through it!
